We’re one month away from our annual Clear the Shelters event at Camp Bow Wow on August 17th.
Capital Area Animal Welfare Society is just one of the shelters participating in this event and they have both cats and dogs up for adoption. CAAWS has been around for roughly 40 years helping re-home animals across the capital area. There adoptions fees sit at $125 for both cats and dogs.
The longest resident at CAAWS is a lovable German Shepard mix named King. ” He’s a very very sweet, highly intelligent young man,” said Chyanne Edgar the dog volunteer coordinator at CAAWS.
King has been at the shelter for roughly a year and a half and this loving big boy is looking for his forever home.

King would do best in the home with no small children and no other pets. You can find more information on this sweet boy here.
If you’re looking for a furry addition to your home make sure to come out to Camp Bow Wow on August 17th for our annual Clear the Shelters event.
