In East Baton Rouge Parish, residents at the Chateau Wein at Siegen Apartments are trying to salvage everything they can and are pleading for help.
“911 can ya’ll help me, I lost everything. Please help me,” said one of the residents.
People were wading through the water Saturday morning to get to their belongings. East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputies used a boat to get residents trapped in their apartments, and some people even brought out their own. As you can see, there was a lot of comradery with residents helping each other.
