The Louisiana State Police announced Monday morning the Baton Rouge shooter has been positively identified.

Just after midnight, the Louisiana State Police identified the shooter as Gavin Long of Missouri.

Long shot and killed three officers in a Sunday morning shooting at the intersection of Airline Drive and Old Hammond Highway. Three other law enforcement officials were injured in the shootout. The gunman was killed in a shootout near the initial scene.
