Open Health Care Clinic to open two temporary drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – Open Health Care Clinic is offering drive-thru COVID-19 testing starting in four days.

The testing will be available at two separate sites between the dates of May 25 and June 6.

The COVID-19 testing is available for people who have these symptoms:

  • 99.5 fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

Open Health Care Clinic provided details on the locations and times for the drive-thru COVID-19 testing below:

Starting Tuesday, May 26:

  • Testing Location: SE Mackey Center, 6534 Ford St. Baton Rouge, LA 70811
  • Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • No doctors’ orders/referral needed
  • Walk-ups welcome, pre-registration not required
  • Photo ID required
  • No out-of-pocket cost for uninsured
  • Bring insurance card. No out-of-pocket cost for insured, however insurance may be billed

Starting Thursday, May 28:

  • Testing Location: Greater King David Church, 222 Blount Road. Baton Rouge, LA
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • No doctors’ orders/referral needed
  • Walk-ups welcome, pre-registration not required
  • Photo ID required
  • No out-of-pocket cost for uninsured
  • Bring insurance card. No out-of-pocket cost for insured, however insurance may be billed
