The shooting in Orlando happened just hours after the annual Baton Rouge Pride Festival wrapped up downtown a the Baton Rouge River Center.
An estimated 10-thousand people were inside the River Center Saturday.
After a day filled with celebration, to say people were shocked would be an understatement.
Some people tried to make sense of this shooting, but many agree, the murders of these 50 men and women were senseless.
In Orlando, the community is helping where they can.
People are lining up at blood banks to help the survivors of this horrible tragedy.
A Go-Fund-Me account was also created to help the victims of the shooting.
The page earned it’s goal within hours of being created and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.
Even in the face of tragedy, unity and hope seem to be leading the way.
