Entergy Louisiana is prepared to respond to power outages as storms sweep across the state on Tuesday spawing tornadoes, damaging winds and torrential downpours. The National Weather Service predicts the strongest threat of severe weather will be in areas of southeast Louisiana with the potential for tornadoes, winds up to 80 mph, large hail and frequent lightning. The storms are expected to arrive Tuesday afternoon and continue into the night.“Preparation is the key during any storm,” said Greg Guilbeau, senior region manager of Customer Service. “We always hope for the best, but in the event that we do experience damage our crews are prepared to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.”
