Former EBRSO Deputy Nick Tullier admitted to ICU after hospital visit Friday

News

Former East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Tullier, who was severely injured during a July 2016 ambush targeting law enforcement officers, has been admitted to the ICU following a hospital trip Friday.

While Tullier later tested negative for COVID-19, he initially entered the hospital due to vomiting, fever and decreased oxygen levels and was admitted to the facility’s COVID-19 ICU floor, according to the Nick Tullier Strong Facebook page.

During that time, Tullier’s fever spiked to 103.5 degrees, and his family and friends were not allowed to be with him.

Now in a regular ICU room, Tullier has experienced a seizure and was put on IV sedation to calm increased brain activity, which caused the seizure, according to the page.

A family member is now able to stay with Tullier constantly, the page reveals.
