Infant left in vehicle overnight

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile police say a 4-month-old child was left in a vehicle overnight on Sunday, May 26.

Police officers arrived at the 200 block of Bloodgood Street at about 9 a.m. Sunday. Officers believe the child had been left in the vehicle for about 12 hours.

The child was supposed to be in the care of his father the night before.

The infant was transported to a local hospital and the Alabama Department of Human Resources was contacted.

The investigation is ongoing.
