BATON ROUGE, La. (FOX 44) (NBC LOCAL 33) – Great news coming out of Catholic High School. Six seniors have been named National Merit Semifinalists, and nine received National Merit Commended honors, according to a news release.

This is for the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. The seniors qualifying are Nicholas Fanguy, Connor Finucane, Elliot Fontenot, Jefferson Koonce, Joshua Langlois and Stewart Roeling.
The seniors to receive National Merit Commended honors are Cade Acosta, Joseph Alexander, Daniel Barfield, Roberto Carreras, Gregory Juge II, Ned Mayeaux Jr., Macullen Mire, Tucker Poret and Andrew Whitehead.
We are told around 1.5 million juniors from more than 20,000 high school across the country entered this year’s program by taking a qualifying test.
