A new business in the Capital Area is providing accessible medicine to the community it serves.
Affordable Pharmacy on Gardere Lane opened its second location Saturday.
It offered free flu shots, and health screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, and STDs, in honor of the grand opening.
East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston-Broome was also in attendance to officially cut the ribbon.
“Well, I was very glad to know that Affordable Pharmacy’s new facility is here in this area. As I said earlier, when you have new businesses that comes to the community, it certainly adds value to the overall economic growth of our community. Especially in this area, I think it serves as a infusion of economic growth and development, provides jobs and opportunities, but even beyond that, this particular pharmacy add to the healthcare equation,” said Mayor-President Broome.
The pharmacy will offer free delivery and accepts all insurance.
