East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputies pulled double duty and became Santa’s deputies Thursday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies partnered with Target for the annual “Shop with a Cop” program.
Twenty Baton Rouge children were nominated by their school to take part in
the program.
A grant from Target provided each child with a gift card worth $150 to go around the store and buy whatever they want.
Deputies say they look forward to this event all year.
If the items they picked came under $150, deputies sent them out to get more stuff.
Target also sent each child home with a lunchbox and a backpack filled with school supplies.
