A sentencing verdict has been reached by the jury for James Holmes in the July 2012 shootings at an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater. Holmes, who killed 12 people and wounded 70 more, will learn his fate — life in prison without parole or the death penalty — at 7 p.m. ET, when the jury’s decision is announced in court. Holmes was convicted last month of 24 counts of first-degree murder — two for each of the victims slain in the shooting.
