In Pointe Coupee Parish, one man is dead after a fatal car crash involving an ambulance.
State Police said it happened Friday around 7:00 P.M., on LA 411, just north of US 190. Troopers said 61-year-old Brett Bergeron, of Lottie, crossed the center line and struck an Acadian Ambulance head-on.
Police said Bergeron was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the ambulance had minor injuries. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash.
