Downtown Baton Rouge could see more than 500 new, free parking spaces.
According to the Downtown Development District, this project has been in the books for a while. This week, officials announced they set aside $250,000 for the project.
Soon, city officials will look at some proposals for more lighting and security underneath the I-10/I-110 overpass, so they can add parking. Right now, they’re in the bidding process. The hope is to get things moving in the beginning of next year.
