Baton Rouge Police arrested a man after a pedestrian was hit and killed on I-110 early Sunday morning.

Police say 32-year-old Cyril Greene was a passenger riding on I-110 near Washington Street when, for reasons unkown, he opened the car door causing his cell phone to fall out.

BRPD said the driver stopped the car. Greene then got out of the car to try to get his phone. Police say he was hit by a car and died at the scene.

The driver of that car, 36-year-old Christopher London, was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless operation and vehicular homicide.

BRPD is still investigating the crash.
