A unique partnership between the LSU Museum of Art and a local barber shop is doing something about it by trading hair cuts for book readings.
 
On Monday boys ages 3 to 11 got a free haircut from O’Neil’s Barber and Beauty Salon in exchange for reading a book.
 
The “Line for Line” program will be held on the first Monday of every month at O’Neal’s, but you don’t have to wait to swing by and read a book.
 
The LSU Museum of Art gave O’Neil’s its own free library.
 
Mid-City Redevelopment installed and registered O’Neil’s free little library.
 
The LSU Museum of Art will keep it filled with book for area children to enjoy.
