Pointe Coupee Sheriff Bud Torres confirmed his office is investigating reports of shots fired near the parade route in New Roads Tuesday afternoon.
The sheriff said they did find shell casings about 100 yards from the parade route. Three juveniles were questioned, and their investigators determined they were not involved.
There are no reports of any injuries. This investigation is ongoing.
