Authorities have confirmed Baton Rouge shooter Gavin Long was in Dallas days after the Dallas Police shooting, but days before the shooting in Baton Rouge.
Long visited three barber shops on July 10 passing out copies of a book he wrote under the pen name “Cosmo Setepenra.”
Long posted a Twitter video of himself preaching inside the His and Her’s Barber Shop. In the video, you can see the barbers keep tending to their customers and not pay much attention to him, but the barbers say they were shocked to learn that he was the guy who would later kill three Baton Rouge Police officers in an ambush attack.
“I just couldn’t believe it. I was just saying oh my god, oh my god, if maybe someone had talked to him, would he have been able to be reached, but he seemed pretty head strong,” Chanattra Long said.
Another Barber recalled the brief encounter.
“When he came in, it was strictly about the book, and then it went to about money, and then it went to out the door. and that was it. It was brief,” Bryan Davis said.
Authorities stated it appears Long randomly selected the barber shops on his visit in Dallas.
