On Monday Nov. 23, Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to a vacant house fire at the 1900 block of Maryland St.
Units arrived on the scene at 12:30 a.m. The fire began at the front of the home. Firefighters determined the cause of the fire to be arson.
The home maintained heavy smoke damage.
