ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla (WKRG)- A Pensacola man has been arrested for hitting a four-wheeler rider with a baseball bat for riding on his street.

74-year-old Douglass Barlow faces aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery charges after deputies say he chased the four-wheeler rider down his street on Tuesday.

When deputies arrived on Empire Drive on Tuesday, a witness told them he saw Barlow run after the victim each time he rode past Barlow’s house. Barlow was seen running after the victim with a bat trying to hit him.

Barlow ended up hitting the victim on the lower back and the victim was able to take the bat from Barlow until deputies arrived. Barlow also hit the front fender of the four-wheeler, which damaged it.
