Over the past week, we have all seen quite a lot of stuff in the capital city.
We have seen a lot of law enforcement officers and a lot of protesters, but we have also seen a lot of cameras.
Media outlets from across the nation have traveled to Baton Rouge and with their presence comes a national spotlight on what is going on here.
In some cases, the media is getting caught up in the protest.
One of Local 33’s own photographers was caught up in a scuffle on Sunday when law enforcement officers moved in to arrest some protesters.
The fact of the matter is that the death of Alton Sterling along with the officer involved shooting Minnesota and the five police officers killed in Dallas have sparked a nationwide debate.
Who knows how much longer we will see so many law enforcement officers and protesters in the street, but one thing is for sure, those cameras aren’t going anywhere soon.
So, stay tuned.
