Ret. Lt. Gen. Russel Honore: ‘No other nation in the world can do that…’

“No other nation in the world can do that… 59 missiles with in two minutes… nobody,” said Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Russel Honore.

Honore said Thursday night’s missile attack on a Syrian air base was not just necessary for our country to do, but it made a statement.

“We did it right on top of the Russians supervising the Syrians. So, they know better. They still know we’ve got the best stuff. We know how to use it, and we’re not scared to use it. That’s a million dollars a piece for those misses, but if you want the best and you want precision, you got to pay for it,” explained Honore.

Not everyone agrees with that. This controversial decision is a talker on social media, with some people agreeing with President Trump’s actions, while others… not so much.

“What I’d say to the people who say ‘ Why are we getting involved in Syria?” Well, I can’t remember a day in my life, we weren’t involved in the Middle East,” said Honore.

Honore believes the U.S. still has a lot to improve on, but we are going in the right direction.

“What we do know, if we don’t solve it there, it can come to America. So, I think its still best for us to stay engaged and try to find a balance where people are not fighting each other, and the longer they can go without fighting each other, the closer they can get to living in harmony,” concluded Honore.
