BLOOMINGDALE, III – If you are millennial, you know how difficult it is to get your parents or even grandparents on the same page when it comes to social media, especially with taking selifies. Most of the time it seems like when they make the attempt, they get everything but their face in the shot.
The Greenfield of Geneva Retirement Community in Bloomingdale is actually doing something cool that a lot of other communities should pick up on – Selfie School.
It’s a two-hour course that teaches grandparents how to take the perfect selfie, so they can show up to family gatherings and know the magic all on their own. And yes, to improve the gap between them and social media to stay relevant, as well as keep up with their grandkids.
