On Sunday, November 15 before 1 a.m., Louisiana State Troopers responded to a fatal two vehicle crash on La. 25 in Folsom involving 74 year-old Metairie resident, Sandra M. Buras and 58 year old Mable Starnes Chaney of Franklinton.
Buras was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe that crashed into the rear of a GMC pickup truck driven by Chaney.
Buras veered into a ditch and the Tahoe went airborne and flipped on its side. Buras was not restrained at the time of the crash and was partially ejected from her vehicle.
Buras was airlifted to St. Tammany Parish Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Chaney was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.
