Weather

NOW PLAYING

Tonight: Mostly clear skies with with a slight chance for an isolated shower before 9 p.m. Lows near 77° with calm winds.

Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds with a chance for isolated storms throughout the afternoon into the evening. Highs near 97° with feel-like temperatures in the triple digits and winds out of the west at 5 mph.

Extended: The summer heat was our main focus this weekend and it’s going to follow us in the beginning of next week. Monday though Wednesday we can expect highs in the mid 90’s with our rain chances increasing by midweek. As of now, Wednesday and Thursday will be our best chance to see widespread thunderstorm activity across southeast Louisiana. Start Friday and heading into next weekend we’ll start to dry out slightly with highs closer to our seasonal average.

Topical Update: The National Hurricane Center has their eye on a trough of low pressure set up in the southeast, and it’s forecast to move southward by midweek toward the northern Gulf of Mexico. Click here for more information on the topics.
