The National Hurricane Center has their eye on a trough of low pressure currently set up over parts of western Kentucky, Tennessee and northern Mississippi.
The trough is forecast the shift southeast and move into the northern Gulf by the beginning of the week. Once over the Gulf, gradual development is possible through midweek.
The National Hurricane Center is giving the system a 0% chance of development over the next 48 hours and a 20% chance for development over the next 5 days.
